listens to your track, finds every kick, hat and drop, and choreographs headlights, turn signals, mirrors, charge port and more — exported as a ready-to-play USB light show in seconds.
MP3 or WAV. Everything runs in your browser — your audio never leaves your device.
Onset + energy-band detection maps bass → main beams, mids → signature & aux lights, highs → turn signals, drops → full-car strobe & closure moves.
Watch the animated front + rear preview in sync. Pick a vibe and intensity, choose your model.
Get a validated LightShow/lightshow.fseq + audio zip. Copy to a USB stick, plug in, hit play.
You need a USB flash drive (any size; 4 GB or more is plenty) and a computer.
Windows: Open File Explorer, right-click the drive, choose Format, pick exFAT, then click Start.
Mac: Open Disk Utility, select the drive, click Erase, pick ExFAT with Master Boot Record, then click Erase.
This wipes the drive, so back up anything on it first.
Unzip your Ilume download. Copy the LightShow folder to the top level of the drive (not inside another folder). The drive should contain LightShow/lightshow.fseq and the matching audio file with the same name.
Don't use your TeslaCam or Sentry dashcam drive. A drive with a TeslaCam folder at its top level can stop the show from loading.
With the car in Park, plug the drive into a front USB port that supports data (the glovebox port works on most newer cars). Wait a few seconds for the car to read it.
On the touchscreen, tap Toybox, then Light Show. Choose your custom show from the USB drive and tap Schedule or start it now. Get out, close the doors, and step back to watch.
Park somewhere with room around the car. Keep people and pets clear of doors, mirrors, the liftgate and the charge port. Don't run shows in a garage you're standing in or on a public road.
Not showing up? Check that the drive is exFAT or FAT32, the folder is named exactly LightShow, and the files are named lightshow. Updating to the latest car software also helps.

LightShow/lightshow.fseq and LightShow/lightshow.wav (or .mp3). No TeslaCam folder at the root. Plug it in, open Toybox → Light Show, and pick your show.#, which is never sent to any server); the music is never uploaded or shared. Viewers can pick their own copy of the song to hear it in sync. Exporting a show to USB still means uploading your own song and paying for the export. This copy of the site is running without its payment server (e.g. opened as a local file), so real Stripe checkout isn’t available. You can simulate a purchase to test the export — no payment is processed and the zip is labeled DEMO.
